Located in the heart of Washington Square West, this cute little cafe has plenty of space and seating inside.  Large comfy gently worn chairs decorate the shop and small tables are available for your cup and snack.  A lite menu of food is offered including muffins, snack bars and fresh fruit.  Cafe Mocha holds true to it’s name; their cafe mochas are delicious!  The vibe inside is casual and comfortable.  Magazines are scattered throughout, but most patrons bring their laptops for some surfing while sipping.  This coffee shop is perfect as is, but promises an up and coming photography room and a full Vegan Menu in the near future.

Located two doors down is a Paint and Hardware store that is a great place to pick up your tools and lightbulbs.  Another fun neighbor of Cafe Mocha’s is a little bookstore with used books at great prices.  With this line up on the 200 Block of 10th Street,  a person can spend a few hours browsing and enjoying some java. First up is the Walnut Bridge Coffeehouse.  On 23rd and Walnut street, this shop is conveniently located for students who come from University City to Center City and back.   It is also convenient for all the healthy people across the street that are working out at SWEAT Gym, not to mention all of the businesses in the area and the apartment buildings filled with java lovers who love having access to such a hip coffee shop.  Inside the decor is elegant but bold with couches and chairs for seating.  A person can grab a cup of Illy brewed coffee to go or stay and have something sweet and delicious from the baked goods selection.   With plenty to read in the form of magazines, newspapers, and local establishment advertising, an individual can feel very comfortable sipping alone.  Plenty of seating also makes Walnut Bridge Coffeehouse a great meet up place and even light brunch restaurant.

The Last Drop Coffee House is a ‘crunchy’ favorite for folks in the Washington Square area.  Located right on the corner of 13th and Pine Street, the Last Drop is right around the corner from the Art Institute and on the path of Philadelphia’s Antique Row section.  Inside, you can find small tables and chairs for staying and sipping; in the warmer season there is also seating outside right on 13th street.  The environment is comfortable, relaxed and casual.  In addition to tasty coffee, tea and food is also served.  The Last Drop is certainly a place to gather and chill with friends or a newspaper.

This is one of the larger coffee shops in Philadelphia offering both indoor and outdoor seating.  Located in the heart of the Art Museum area, this neighborhood favorite is also convenient after touring the Eastern State Penitentiary across the street.   Mugshots offers their organic coffee, a variety of teas and bagels with numerous spreads to chose from.
